The Greensburg girls soccer team opened their 2023 season with a 3-1 loss on the road at Knightstown on Saturday. The Pirates controlled possession for much of the game, but could not find the net. Knightstown scored first in the 31'. Genevieve Smith tied the game with a goal right before the half. The Panthers scored early in the second half before surrendering a third goal on a penalty kick. The Pirates outshot the Panthers 12-6, but could not find the net. The Pirates are back in action in their home opener on Tuesday against Rising Sun at 5:30 p.m.
