Four Pirate runners share first-place honors at Hauser Hokum Karem

The Greensburg cross-country team opened their season with first-place honors on both the boys and girls sides at the Hauser Hokum Karem Tuesday night. For the boys, Cameron Schwartz and Jake Hawkins shared first-place honors with a time of 31:32. Quinton Walker and TJ Gorman finished second in 31:37. Zack Blodgett and Joe Hawking were fourth in 31:47. On the girls side, Tori Gauck and Alaina Bedel won the even in 39:43. Tiffani Gramman and Hannah Crowell were third in 41:47. Alli Foster and Allison Kunze were ninth in 48:10. The cross country teams are back in action Thursday at South Decatur against South Decatur, North Decatur, and Batesville. The meet begins at 5 p.m.
