The Greensburg boys soccer team opened Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference play against defending sectional champions South Dearborn Thursday night, falling by a score of 6-3 at home. Junior Cy Miller opened the scoring for the Pirates off a free kick from John Robbins within the game's first 10 minutes. The Pirates and Knights battled goalless for the next 15 minutes before South Dearborn scored four unanswered. With under five minutes to go, Adam Underhill played a ball over the South Dearborn defense to find freshman and Cy's brother Jacoby Miller for his first career goal. South Dearborn quickly answered to push the halftime score to 5-2 in favor of the visitors. The second half saw more from the Pirates as there were several different Pirates to record shots on goal, but only Cy Miller's penalty kick found the back of the net. Cy Miller's two goals against South Dearborn move him into fifth place on Greensburg's all-time scoring list with 24 career goals. The Pirates fall to 0-2, 0-1 EIAC with the loss. They return to action Saturday at home against Union County as part of a boys / girls doubleheader. The girls begin at 10 a.m. with the boys to follow at noon.
