Pirate football stymied by tough Lawrenceburg defense in 42-0 loss

The Greensburg football team dropped to 0-4 after a 42-0 loss against Class 3A #3 Lawrenceburg at home on Friday night. The Pirates managed just 65 yards of offense against the Tigers, led by Austin Cruz with 31 rushing yards on nine attempts. Pirate quarterback Bryson Abplanalp completed two of four passing attempts for three yards. Braden Rankin led the Pirates defensively with six tackles. The Tigers were led by quarterback Logan Ahaus, who completed 11 of his 13 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns. The Pirates are back on the field Friday night at home against Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference foe South Dearborn at 7 p.m.
