In the annual boys soccer rivalry game between Rushville and Greensburg for the "Battle for the Ball" trophy, the Pirates came out on top 7-1. In what was a tightly contested first half, Greensburg battled to a 2-1 halftime lead. Both first half goals came from Cy Miller, the first of which was assisted by freshman Lucas Kramer. The second half saw the scoring open up for Greensburg with two goals from Jacoby Miller, who was assisted by Cy Miller and John Robbins. Greensburg's fifth goal came from first year player, Gilberto Gonzalez Lerma, who scored his first career goal off of an assist from Jacoby Miller. The final two Pirate goals again came from the Miller brothers assisted by Joey Yake and Ethan Smith, respectively. The Pirates have won four in a row and move to 6-4-1 (2-1 EIAC). This is the first four-game winning streak for the Pirates in 11 years. They return to action Tuesday at Jac-Cen-Del at 5 p.m.
