Greensburg boys soccer hosted Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference foe Batesville on Wednesday night, falling by a 2-0 score. After a defensive first half that ended 0-0, Greensburg was unable to keep pace with Batesville's offense and allowed two second-half goals. The Pirates had plenty of chances with several players registering shots on goal, however none were able to find the back of the net. The loss moves the Pirates to 6-6-1 (2-3 EIAC). The Pirates play again on Wednesday against East Central at 5:30 p.m at Shriver Field. The Pirates JV played a half after the varsity match and tied 1-1. After allowing a Bulldog goal, the Pirates responded with a goal of their own when Bryson Chilton found the back of the net off of a pass from Sam Tuchmann.
