The Greensburg boys soccer team traveled to Lawrenceburg on Saturday, defeating the rival Tigers 3-1. Cy Miller opened the scoring for the Pirates in the first half off of an assist from John Robbins. The Tigers would draw even before the half, making the halftime score 1-1. Greensburg wasted no time getting the second half started, scoring just 47 seconds in. Jacoby Miller was able to find the back of the net off of an Ethan Smith assist. The Pirates solidified the win with another goal from Cy Miller, assisted by Ethan Smith. With his two assists on the day, Ethan Smith has registered 10 assists on the season, becoming only the 5th player in Greensburg history to record 10+ assists in a single season. The win moves the Pirates to 7-7-1 (3-4 EIAC) and a 5th-place finish in the conference, the team's highest finish since 2012. The soccer team returns to action Thursday at home against Morristown at 5:30 p.m.
