The Greensburg girls soccer team struggled again to hold off attacks from the opposing team, falling 8-0 to Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference opponent South Dearborn Wednesday night. Goaleeper Madeline Shrader allowed seven goals on 17 Knights shots. Goalkeeper Emma Hostetler replaced Shrader, allowing one goal on four shots. The Pirates are now 4-9 (1-5 EIAC) They return to the pitch Thursday on the road at Connersville at 5:30 p.m. The Pirates close the regular season Saturday at Triton Central at 10 a.m. IHSAA sectional play begins Thursday, Oct. 5 against Madison. The sectional game will be played at Batesville.
