Greensburg Community High School

The Greensburg football team could not handle a strong rushing attack from the Class 3A #11 Batesville Bulldogs, falling 49-0 on Homecoming Friday night. Sophomore running back Austin Cruz ran the ball eight times for 40 yards offensively. Sophomore quarterback Bryson Abplanalp completed just three of 18 passing attempts for 38 yards. Senior Hunter Springmeyer, Junior Austin Cole, and Freshman Ethan Bishop were on the receiving end of the three completions. Defensively, Cruz led the way for the Pirates with seven tackles and a sack. The Pirates are now 0-7 on the season and travel to Class 4A #1 East Central Friday night. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
