Girls basketball uses hot shooting, stiff defense in win against East Central

The Greensburg girls basketball team shot 50% from the floor and forced 25 turnovers in a 65-19 win over East Central at home Wednesday night. The Pirates jumped out to early lead behind strong defense, taking a 28-0 lead to the first quarter break. The Trojans shot 29% from the field and 14% on three-pointers. The Pirates were led by Mylie Wilkison, who scored 11 of her 20 points in the first quarter. Leah West scored 18 on 7-10 shooting. Claire Larrison added 11 points and seven rebounds. The Pirates (4-2, 1-0 EIAC) hit the road this weekend. A JV/Varsity doubleheader at Seymour tips off at noon on Saturday.
