Boys basketball rallies for season-opening win against Yorktown

The Greensburg boys basketball team rallied late for a 49-46 win against Yorktown Saturday night. New Greensburg coach Shaun Busick begins his Greensburg career 1-0 with the win. The Pirates trailed for much of the second half. Drew Busick converted a three-point play with under two minutes remaining in the game to give the Pirates the lead for good. Busick led the way for the Pirates with 18 points. Addison Barnes-Pettit added 11 points. Jack McKinsey scored nine. Justin Adkins scored seven points. Bradley Lutz scored four points to round out the scoring. The Pirates hit 16 of 22 free throws in the game. The Pirates return to the court Friday night at home against Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference foe Batesville. A JV/Varsity doubleheader begins at 6 p.m.
