Girls basketball fills up stat sheet in win over South Dearborn

Three Greensburg girls basketball players scored in double-figures Thursday night in a home 58-19 win for the Class 3A No. 6 Pirates against Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference opponent South Dearborn. The Pirates also forced 36 Knights turnovers and held a +13 advantage in rebounds in the victory. The Pirates had one of their worst shooting nights of the young season, hitting just 37% of their attempts from the floor, however, they took more than double the number of attempts as the Knights. Aly Powers and Mylie Wilkison both scored 14 to lead the Pirates. Leah West scored 13. Powers added six steals, three assists, and two rebounds. Wilkison added seven rebounds. West was the leading rebounder with nine. Bernadette Wismann led the way for the Knights with five points. The Pirates (8-2, 3-0 EIAC) continue in conference play Saturday night when they host Rushville. A JV/Varsity doubleheader tips at 6 p.m.
