Boys basketball withstands late Madison run for home win

The Greensburg boys basketball team saw a nine-point lead at the start of the fourth-quarter evaporate to just one with under a minute to go in Thursday night's game against Madison. However, seniors Drew Busick and Addison Barnes-Pettit both hit a pair of free throws with less than two minutes to go to ice a 53-51 win for Greensburg. Barnes-Pettit scored 18 points to lead all scorers. Busick scored 12 points and senior Bradley Lutz scored 10. The Pirates (14-6, 5-1 EIAC) are back in action Tuesday at home against Seymour. A JV/Varsity doubleheader tips at 6 p.m.
