Boys golf opens season with 10-place finish at Edinburgh Invitational

The Greensburg boys golf team opened their 2024 campaign with a 10th-place finish at Saturday's Edinburgh Invitational. Junior Colten Schroeder led the way for the Pirates with a 78, good for 10th overall in the meet. The Pirates shot a team score of 345. Shelbyville won the meet with a team score of 304. Senior Hunter Springmeyer carded an 84, freshman Logan Simpson finished with a 91, and junior Brant Acra fired a 92. The Pirates return to action Tuesday night in a three-way meet at Jennings County with the Panthers and North Decatur .
