Cordray delivers strong outing on the mound in softball's win

Senior Cheyenne Cordray allowed one earned run over five innings of work in Greensburg softball's Wednesday night's 6-3 win over South Dearborn. Cordray scattered eight hits while striking out three. Freshman Harper Adams closed the game out with two innings of one-hit ball, striking out five Knights. The Pirates hammered out 11 hits on the day. Adams, Junior Emma McQueen, Senior Alexis Condon, and freshman Kamryn Haas all contributed two hits each. Senior Carlee Adams, freshman Addyson Dolan, and freshman Layla Murray also tallied hits. The Pirates (4-0, 1-0 EIAC) are scheduled to have their home opener Thursday night against Batesville. First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m.
