Adams strong in the circle in softball's win over Columbus East

Freshman pitcher Harper Adams struck out 12 Columbus East Olympians in Saturday's 4-1 win in Greensburg softball's home opener. Adams scattered seven hits over seven innings, allowing one run, her first of the season. The Pirates had five timely hits, all coming with runners in scoring positions. Alexis Condon and Carlee Adams both doubled in runs. Harper Adams helped her own cause with an RBI single. The Pirates (5-0, 3-0 EIAC) put their undefeated record on the line Tuesday when they host rival Batesville. First pitch is 5:30 p.m.
