Greiwe solid on the mound in baseball's 10-2 win over Rushville

Junior Caleb Greiwe allowed just one hit Tuesday night in a winning effort for the Pirates baseball team against EIAC foe Rushville. Greensburg won 10-2. Greiwe struck out eight Lions, allowing two earned runs along with two walks in four innings of work. He also drove in a run at the plate to help his own cause. Senior Bryson Kelso had a three-hit day, driving in one. Senior Gavin Owens drove in a pair on two hits. Senior Justin Adkins pitched the final three innings. Adkins did not allow a run on one hit and one walk while striking out five. The win for Greensburg (2-1, 2-1 EIAC) opens a stretch of six games in nine days. The Pirates stay in the conference Thursday night when they travel to Rushville for the back end of this mid-week home-and-home. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
