Freshman Harper Adams struck out 19 Rushville Lions in Monday's night home softball win against Rushville. The Pirates pushed a run across in the sixth inning to win 1-0. Adams outlasted Rushville starter Stacey Roberts, who allowed an unearned run while fanning 12 Pirates. Adams allowed two hits and did not walk a batter. The lone run for the Pirates came off of a double by senior catcher Carlee Adams, who came around to score when senior Alexis Condon reached on a Rushville error. The Pirates remain undefeated at 7-0 and 3-0 in the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference. The Pirates are back in action Tuesday, traveling to North Decatur for a 5:30 p.m. first pitch.
