Pirate bats get hot in baseball's win over Hauser

The Greensburg baseball team came alive for 10 runs in Tuesday night's 10-4 home win over Hauser. The Pirates hammered out nine hits and drew eight walks in the victory. The Pirates scored three in the first inning, five in the second inning, and two in the fourth inning. Senior Bryson Kelso earned the win, allowing two runs on three hits in four innings. Kelso struck out six Jets. Senior Justin Adkins finished the game in relief, allowing two unearned runs on three hits while striking out four. Junior Cy Miller led the way for the Pirates at the plate, driving in four and scoring twice on a two-hit afternoon. Caleb Greiwe hit his first home run of the year. Kelso also drove in a run on a two-hit day and scored twice. The Pirates (4-2, 3-1 EIAC) have Wednesday off. South Dearborn visits Greensburg on Thursday for a 5:30 p.m. first pitch.
