Pirate softball's undefeated streak ends in loss to Shelbyville

The Greensburg softball team had begun their season 9-0 and climbed to No. 9 in the Softball Coaches Association of Indiana poll, but fell to Class 4A Shelbyville 10-3 Monday night. Cheyenne Cordray started for the Pirates, allowing four earned runs in three innings of work. Freshman Layla Murray pitched 3.1 innings, allowing four runs on eight hits. Senior Carlee Adams allows a run on two hits in two innings of work. The Pirates are back in action Tuesday night at home against Franklin County. First pitch is 5:30 p.m.
