Baseball earns 10-run rule victory over South Ripley

The Greensburg baseball team exploded for 15 runs in a 15-5 win in 5 innings over visiting South Ripley Tuesday night. Senior Leland Workman drove in four runs on a pair of triples to lead the Pirates offensively. Senior Ethan Smith earned the start on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings. allowing three unearned runs on three hits and four walks. Smith struck out four Raiders. Bryson Kelso earned the win in relief, allowing two earned runs over 3.1 innings. Kelso walked five and allowed two hits with two strikeouts. Junior Conner Beagle went 2-4 with 2 RBIs at the plate. Senior Justin Adkins, Junior Cy Miller, and Junior Caleb Greiwe all had multi-hit evenings as the Pirates pounded out 12 hits. Greensburg (6-3, 4-2 EIAC) returns to the field Thursday evening when they host Batesville at 5:30 p.m.
