The Greensburg golf team split a three-way match with Jennings County and North Decatur at St. Anne's Golf Course Wednesday night. The Pirates scored a 172. Jennings County won the match with a score of 167. North Decatur finished third with a 173. Senior Hunter Springmeyer earned co-medalist honors with a 41. Colten Schroeder and Reece Chapman both shot 43s. Brant Acra carded a 45 to round out the Pirates scoring. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get the win tonight. We were a little all over the place, some good and some bad," Coach Bryce Mize said. "We had some uncharacteristically large numbers on the card, but we also got some good play out of the back end of the lineup." "Hunter was solid from start to finish. Colten had a few rough spots, but I expect him to bounce back really soon. Brant and Reece both strung together a really solid half of a round but took their hiccups on the half. If we can continue to improve and make those good stretches last a little longer, then I like the trajectory we are on." The Pirates hit the links again Thursday afternoon at Batesville in a make-up match that was rained out last week. Tee time is 4 p.m.
