Beagle's late RBI pushes baseball to win against Franklin County

Junior Conner Beagle drove in a pair of runs, including the pivotal go-ahead run late in Thursday's 3-2 win for Greensburg baseball against Franklin County. The Pirates plated a pair in the fifth to rally from a 2-1 deficit. Junior Chase Tekulve earned the win. He entered the game in relief of starter Lance Coy, who threw 5.2 innings, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out eight. Tekulve threw the final 1.1 innings, allowing just one baserunner. Tekulve has not allowed an earned run in 7.1 innings this season. Senior Justin Adkins had two hits, raising his team-leading batting average to .429. The Pirates (9-5, 6-4 EIAC) are back in action Monday night at home against East Central. First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m.
