Baseball falls at East Central

The Greensburg baseball team fell on the road 6-3 Thursday night at East Central, despite outhitting the Trojans 8-5. Junior Lance Coy started for the Pirates, allowing three earned runs in 4.1 innings of work. Coy struck out three Trojans while allowing three hits and walking two. Senior Justin Adkins finished the game for Greensburg, allowing two earned runs on two hits and a walk. Offensively, junior Caleb Greiwe went 2-4 with one the Pirates' three doubles. Senior Leland Workman also had two hits and drove in a run, increasing his batting average this season to .395. The Pirates (9-7, 6-6 EIAC) are back in action Monday on the road at Connersville. First pitch is 6 p.m.
