The Greensburg baseball team pounded out a season-high 17 hits Monday night in a 13-3 road conference win at Connersville. The Pirates pushed seven runs across in the first inning to take a commanding lead they would not relinquish. Juniors Lance Coy and Cy Miller both hit home runs in the game. Coy added a double and drove in three runs. Senior Bryson Kelso also drove in three runs. Coy, Miller, Kelso, sophomore Chase Walsman, senior Leland Workman, and senior Justin Adkins all had multi-hit days at the plate. Junior Caleb Greiwe earned the win on the mound. He allowed three earned runs on five hits in four innings of work, walking one and striking out two. Junior Chase Tekulve finished the game, throwing two scoreless innings while walking two and striking out one. The Pirates (10-7, 7-6 EIAC) are back in action Wednesday night at South Decatur for a 5:30 p.m. first pitch.
