Boys soccer falls to Madison in season-opener

The Greensburg boys soccer team kicked off their season with a 3-1 loss to Madison Tuesday night. The Cubs got on the board early in the 10' with a goal to take a 1-0 lead. The Pirates evened the score before half when a shot by John Robbins was deflected off the goalkeeper to Cy Miller, who found the back of the net. Madison scored again before half and found the net again in the second half to seal the victory. Goalkeeper Colin Osborn saved nine shots on goal for the Pirates. The Pirates fall to 0-1 on the season. They open Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference play Thursday when they travel to South Dearborn. The match begins at 5:30 p.m.
