Greensburg Community High School

The Greensburg volleyball team finished second out of nine teams in Saturday's Franklin Central Invitational. The Pirates defeated Beech Grove, Franklin Central, and Martinsville while falling to Lawrence North to finish the day 3-1. Averi Helms led the way for the Pirates with 18 kills. Leah West had 17 kills and seven block assists. Mya Comer tallied 20 digs while Kirkley Lowe added 18. Comer also added 48 assists. The Pirates are now 5-2 on the season. They travel to Batesville Monday night. A freshman / JV / Varsity tripleheader starts at 5 p.m.
