Girls soccer falls to Madison at home

The Greensburg girls soccer team fell 4-2 despite a pair of goals of from senior Genevieve Smith Thursday night at Shriver Field. Smith scored on a penalty kick and her second goal was assisted by sophomore Kadence Rich. Junior goalkeeper Madeline Shrader saved nine of the Cubs' 16 shots on goal. Senior Emma McQueen and junior Maddie Haviland both had goal-saving blocks. The Pirates (5-2, 0-1 EIAC) are back on the pitch Wednesday at home against Hauser. The match kicks off at 5:30 p.m.
