Boys soccer loses to Connersville on late second half goal

The Greensburg boys soccer team traveled to Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference opponent Connersville Monday night, falling 3-2. Connersville scored twice in the first half, taking a 2-0 lead into halftime. Greensburg started the second half strong with two goals in the first five minutes of the second half to tie the game 2-2. Goals for Greensburg came from Jacoby Miller, assisted by Cy Miller, and Wyatt Yake, assisted by George Slaven. The Pirates were able to withstand the Connersville attack for a majority of the second half before the third Connersville goal found the back of the net. Greensburg goalkeeper Colin Osbrn finished the game with eight saves. The loss moves Greensburg to 8-4 (3-1 EIAC). The Pirates are back on the pitch Wednesday at Batesville. The match starts at 5 p.m.
