Colten Schroeder's 35 helped send the Greensburg boys golf team to a Decatur County title, defeating North Decatur by 11 strokes Friday night at the North Branch Golf Club. The Pirates won 162-163. Schroeder opened with birdies on his second and third holes. He sat at -2 through six holes before giving strokes back on holes seven and eight to finish at even par. He shared county MVP honors with North's Carson Parmer. Parker Phillips carded two birdies on his way to a 37. Abe Tebbe and Hunter Springmeyer rounded out the Pirates' scoring with rounds of 40. "I was really happy with how we played tonight," head coach Bryce Mize said. "Most of our guys are really familiar with North Branch, so it was nice to see them play so well." "Honestly, there wasn't too much top be disappointed in other than typical mistakes here and there. If we can continue to tidy up the small things, we can hopefully continue to see our team scores drop." The Pirates are back in action Monday night when they return to Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference play against Batesville on the road at 4 p.m.
